Whether you are an accomplished artist or a lay person who loves art, joining one of our Hands-On-Art-Expiences is unique and memorable. We offer the best in instruction, guiding you to create a successful object in glass. For the artist, you will garner new techniques that enables your work to evolve. For the art appreciator/collector, the experience will give you new understandings of glass and the artistic process while creating a useful object to take home to treasure your Invitational experience for years to come.

Pastries On Glass is a glass art experience for all levels: enjoy a sweet and savory breakfast served on art glass, a brief educational lecture about working with glass, and make your own treasured art glass plate under the guidance of TIGA artists that will be shipped to your home after it is fired in our kilns. 9am-11am, Registration online is required prior to the event.

Cost = $110, includes breakfast, glass materials, instruction, firing of glass, and shipping (withn US) to deliver your glass creation to your home.

PATE DE VERRE BASICS -

LINDA ETHIER

International artist and teacher Linda Ethier is a master of glass casting techniques. Teaching only 1-2 workshops each year, take this unique opportunity to be with Linda for a three-day workshop in the art of casting with glass powders, traditionally know as pate de verre. Learn about the creation of an original art work, making the mold for casting the work in glass in the kiln, and the intricate process of packing the powders into the mold. We then fire your art work and ship it to you. Or, if you live nearby, join us for a day of divesting the castings and taking your work home. 9am-5pm.

REUSABLE GLASS MOLDS - SHEL NEYMARK

In this exciting workshop with artist Shel Neymark (NM) learn to create, fire and prepare re-usable ceramic molds for slumping, fusing and casting glass. Shel is a long-time ceramic artist and has been simultaneously working with glass for well over a decade. He has public works and private commissions throughout New Mexico and works in his unique studio across the Rio Grande River in Embudo, NM. November 8 @ Shel Neymark Studios and November 9 & 15 @ DV Art & Architecture, 10am-6pm
